The new Beretta Nano 9MM for Concealed Carry is to be available for sale in October 2011. It looks like a Polymer striker fired single stack mix of the Beretta Storm and a Glock. We don’t know what the capacity is for sure but I’m guessing it is 6 rounds of 9mm. The Nano will likely be available in SW .40 Cal as well as 9MM. It has adjustable sights and the frame is the serialized “gun” which means that the grip is changeable to provide different grip sizes to maximize shooter grip comfort. The pistol has no external slide lock, no external safety, and appears to use a Glock like trigger safety. It does have an ambidextrous magazine release which appears to be the only external control.

With no external slide lock one might at first think that the slide doesn’t lock back after firing the last round, but I bet the slide does lock back and that a simple slingshot of the slide will allow it to slam closed and chamber the first round. Anyway, we will soon know for sure. Beretta has a picture on their website and more information will be available in the coming weeks.
With an MSRP of $475.00 you can find the Nano for sale online for $399.99.

Too bad that Glock hasn’t developed a single stack 9mm but If this pistol performs as well as the Beretta Storm pistols, I own a PX4, then I predict that the Beretta Nano will become one of if not the top concealed carry micro sized sub compact 9mm pistol for concealed carry enthusiasts.
I’m sure I will buy the Beretta Nano when it becomes available in October to add to my mini 9mm collection of CCW 9mm pistols.
