CZ 527 Varmint in 223

I recently purchased a CZ 527 Varmint in 223 on GunBroker.com. When the rifle arrived at my FFL the stock was broken. Not cracked, not just broken, but broken into two pieces. Check out the picture. The seller was Cedar Falls Tactical and they were great to work with. They ordered a new stock from CZ USA and I had the rifle repaired and out to the range inside a week.

The CZ 527 has a 1:9 twist, 24 inch barrel, and a smooth as glass very sensitive set trigger. The trigger pull is adjustable. I am trying to learn to hand load some accurate ammo for this rifle. So far I can get 4 rounds in a half-inch group at 100 yards but the fifth one always ends up as a flyer outside the group. It easily gets about 1 MOA groups but the CZ has a reputation for shooting better than MOA group size.

It came with 1″ CZ rings but I put a 30mm Sightron 8-32 scope on it so had to buy new rings.
